Aqua is a round dining table with a base in solid Carrara, Marquina or Bardiglio marble (matte or glossy polished finish).
The top is in lacquered polyurethane and laminated Fenix® veneer on MDF. Its dimensions are diameter 158 centimetres, height 75 centimetres and diameter 138 centimetres.
It is also available in an oval top: width 250 centimetres, height 75 centimetres and depth 125 centimetres. Other dimensions are available for coffee and pedestal tables.
Aqua reveals a discreet prowess – clean lines belie the precious savoir-faire required to realise the wild challenge designer Fabrice Berrux set himself: creating a marble base sculpted in the dynamic shape of a droplet, frozen at the precise instant of impact with the ground.
A graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Dijon, France, Fabrice Berrux designs playful, sensitive objects, often drawing inspiration from the world of art. Designed as a tribute to Andy Warhol, his Flower vase was a precursor to the poetic Mayflower armchair later produced by Roche Bobois.
His designs play with materials, shapes and light, consistently revealing a striking graphic aesthetic. Some of his pieces are displayed in the Paris Museum of Decorative Arts.
