Exhibited at the Collectible Design Fair in Brussels, the shelf matches basalt’s raw, stratified surfaces with the precision of laser-cut steel. Dalton Stewart worked directly with a German stonemason to source and cut columnar basalt. Stone and steel interlock through gravity and dry joinery, engaging tectonically without adhesives or mechanical fasteners.
