The humble beanbag is here reinterpreted in steel weldmesh. Responding to a Melbourne Design Week brief for ‘soft’ objects, Ash Allen created a visually and physically soft form with cold, utilitarian sheet material. The curvaceous seat was designed in CAD to ensure comfort and strength, while minimising material usage and floorspace.
