Utilising a narrow shopfront visage to create mystery, Tombo Den brings the spirit of underground Japanese gambling dens to Melbourne’s dining scene. Dramatic transition spaces are created within circulation paths, such as the glossy red corridor and grand staircase. Commissioned artworks complement a sculptural granite sushi counter made with traditional Japanese joinery.
