A tiny shopfront located on a lively 1880s Heritage-listed shopping strip in Melbourne has been transformed into a new home for Kirsten Johnstone Architecture. The 37-square-metre footprint demanded astute interventions to negotiate light, privacy and multi-program requirements. The studio adopts a hybrid design, with a retail-style engagement to the street.
