Bowral house is a modern addition to an old house that eschews the built context and looks back to the ancient landscape. Set in a valley where eucalypts grow over a bluff trachyte base, the new architecture gradually exposes framing over robust brick elements, to speak in the abstract to the surrounding landscape.
