Subterranea Steyaertanum is a mycelium-based wall sconce developed to support a closing of the gap between the natural and human world. Conscious of the waste associated with tooling development, these pieces utilise existing mould forms (Lucidum, 2019) and the social growth patterns of fungal mycelium to create a new solid form.
