Following three successful collaborations in the past, the latest partnership between Designer Rugs and Hare + Klein capitalises on years of shared knowledge and expertise. This new collection, drawing strong inspiration from the organic formations and patterns of the Australian landscape, offers valuable insight into the artisan processes behind making exquisite, handcrafted rugs. 

It is this, Hare says, which makes these rugs so “individual and beautiful”. 

“We have drawn on the natural world in this collection, which aligns with the materials that make up each design,” she says.

With every piece lovingly crafted to achieve a high standard of luxury while evoking the organic forms and dynamic textures of the breathtaking Australian landscape, the new collection marks a high achievement in arts-driven interior design. 

Fusing modern aesthetics with timeless elegance, the new collaboration promises a personalised visual experience. 

The collection uses Tibetan wool, a fibre prized for its outstanding softness and durability, as well as its exceptional natural beauty. 

The manufacturing process represents the highest standards of skill and artisanry, with every aspect of the design and finish actioned by hand: from the spinning of the wool to the precise, refined knotting of the remarkable patterned facia.

Shores

Representing the natural transformation of the shoreline under the impact of coastal erosion, this gorgeous design fuses the organic hue of sea, sky and stone. A sophisticated and inviting design piece that adds depth to any room. 

Edrom

Reflecting the subtle elegance of a lone pebble found in a rock pool, Edrom displays intricate patterns and textures that represent the appearance of centuries of erosion. Named after the coastline located near Eden, New South Wales, the piece is a visual image of a micro-landscape that remains both of-the-minute and completely timeless. 

Crevasse

Mimicking the weathered rockface of Whale Beach, this arresting design brings to mind the gentle pink hues of Sydney’s extraordinary sandstone cliffs. Available in a variety of pile heights, the piece stands as a tactile tribute to the drama and intricacy of the Australian landscape. 

Favo

Terrain 

A tribute to the complex interplay of coastline tidal movements, Terrain evokes the bustling rockpools of the vibrant Australian shoreline. A perfect effect of brightness, colour and elegant calm, this piece is its own natural treasure for your home. 

Petale 

Reflective of the silent beauty of hydrangea flowers sparkling beneath cool afternoon sun, Petale presents the supple elegance of the natural world in full bloom. Infusing circular patterns and textural elements to mirror the precise layering of flower petals, this piece easily adds a heightened sense of sublime grace to any interior space.

A milestone collection

The landmark fourth collaboration between Designer Rugs and Hare + Klein is a fusion of design and handmade artistry at the highest levels. On all accounts, it stands as what Designer Rugs managing director Yosi Tal considers a “milestone collection”.
