The 2015 Good Design Awards has crowned designer Alexander Lotersztain a winner in the Sport and Lifestyle category for Waterscape, a floating platform made from recyclable materials.
The Melbourne School of Design (MSD) at the University of Melbourne, designed by John Wardle Architects in collaboration with Boston-based architecture studio NADAAA, has been described as ‘representing the values of the university’ as ‘built pedagogy’.
"Taller buildings have a smaller environmental footprint, they offer economies of scale and they can give us greater opportunities for housing,” says Liberal councillor Christine Forster, as Parramatta City Council pushes for skyscrapers up to 500 metres in height.
