Architecture and design firm ThomsonAdsett has been named Architecture Firm of the Year at Ageing Asia’s 7th APAC Eldercare Innovation Awards.

The firm, which picked up the accolade last week at an awards event held in Singapore, wasn’t the only Australian firm to be recognised; KPA Architects won Residential Aged Care Project of the Year for Koh I Noor, a new aged care facility in Perth, ThomsonAdsett’s Ooi Wei Yap took away the Young Architect of the Year award and Gilmore Interior Design won Interior Design Firm of the Year.

Meanwhile, aged care providers Bolton Clarke, IRT, Maclean Care and Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT picked up awards for innovations in products, social engagement and technology.

The awards coincided with the 10th International Ageing Asia Innovation Forum as part of International Ageing Week.
