The Australian Smart Skyscrapers Summit is an inaugural event that will premiere in Melbourne in March 2017.
Looking at sky-high towers, high and medium-rise construction and design, the Summit brings together world leaders in architecture, engineering, urban planning and construction. With a wide range of international and local speakers, case studies in both the Australian context and abroad will be featured at the event.
A key focus will be smart and green structural systems, materials and design features which will revolutionise the future of Australian design. Delegates will learn about innovative trends and gain the opportunity to network and share knowledge with a diverse community of industry experts.
From vertical transportation in high-rise construction and fire safety design, to building height restrictions in cities and vertical schools, the Australian Smart Skyscrapers Summit agenda provides a comprehensive and fascinating look at how our cities will grow and evolve in the years and decades to come.
Key projects to be reviewed include Australia’s tallest prefabricated building (which stands at 133 metres), Melbourne’s 323 La Trobe Street, Australia 108 (which will surpass the Eureka Tower as the tallest tower in Melbourne), 1 Bligh Street – Sydney’s smart and sustainable development, which garnered the six-star green status by the Green Building Council of Australia – and One Central Park, which boasts the tallest vertical garden in the world, at over 1100 square metres.
