Led by creative directors Nick Johnston, Shae Parker McCashen and Jane Cameron Finlay, next year’s ArchiTeam conference ‘Expanding Practice: 100 percent Architecture’ promises invaluable learning and personal development for small-to-medium practice architecture studios.

Renowned as a not-for-profit cooperative committed to uplifting the efforts of more than 1000 emerging small-to-medium architecture practices, ArchiTeam is gearing up for its fifth biennial conference on 16 May next year at the Melbourne Museum.

The cooperative’s board of directors recently announced the creative directors for the conference as Session Architecture director Nick Johnston, Respectful Architecture director Shae Parker McCashen and Jane Cameron Architects director Jane Cameron Finlay.

All three creative directors express a passion for human-centric and environmentally conscious design, bolstering relationships between architects and clients and pursuing future-proof solutions that lead to accessible and inclusive spaces.

Pursuing peak community impact

Attendees of the hotly anticipated one-day conference will have the chance to see architects and allied professionals share insights on entrepreneurship, collaboration and business strategy, in addition to harnessing the powers of sustainable innovation in delivering positive outcomes for clients and the industry.

Small-to-medium practice architects will be coached on methods for wielding influence and impact in communities across Australia’s built environment by abandoning traditional and tired methodologies.

Overall, the ArchiTeam 2025 conference hopes to empower architects to find purpose and pleasure in their work, embrace interdisciplinary collaboration, and experiment with unorthodox and alternative methods of practice.
