With its luxurious new Sona Smart Toilet, Australian bathroom solutions supplier Fienza is taking a fresh step in the evolution of smart living.
Popularised in Japan, smart toilets have long charmed curious travellers with their seat-warming capabilities and in-built sounds to play while in use. Now, it seems the rest of the world may be ready to take a seat, paying serious attention to the comforts afforded by smart toilets, alongside the technology’s self-cleaning functions and emerging health-monitoring potential.
As more smart toilets enter the Australian mainstream, Fienza offers a new design-led solution with the Sona Smart Toilet. The Sona Smart Toilet blends refined design with clever, intuitive technology, turning a very ordinary activity into a small ritual of wellness.

“We designed Sona to bring five-star comfort into everyday life,” says Fienza founder and CEO Wesley Rand. “Sona captures that balance of elegance, functionality and wellbeing.”
The Sona Smart Toilet is characterised by a sleek, minimalist silhouette. Designed for easy installation and retrofit adaptability, Sona suits everything from compact apartments to high-end builds.
“We worked closely with Australian installers and designers to make Sona intuitive from both a technical and user perspective,” says Fienza senior product manager James Oliver. “Its modular design and plug-and-play system make it practical for any project.”

Like all good design, Sona’s simplicity in form hides the advanced sensors and self-cleaning systems at work.
The toilet’s quick-start features include gentle bidet and massage functions; temperature control of the water, heated seat and air-dryer; a built-in deodoriser; self-cleaning nozzles; and a blue LED light for use at night.
With a foot-sensor seat and flush control, Sona enables effortless interaction and hygiene.
“Every detail of Sona was designed to enhance that daily experience, from the warmth of the seat to the intuitive wash settings,” Oliver says.
A full-function remote control is included, with a wall-mounted bracket and backlit buttons for easy use at night.

Sona proves that convenience can coexist with responsible design.
With a 4-star WELS rating, dual-flush system and intelligent bidet functionality, Sona drastically reduces both water consumption and paper waste. Warm air drying and automated cleaning maintain a high standard of hygiene while minimising environmental impact.
Fienza believes that luxury today isn’t about excess; it’s about ease.
More than ‘tech for tech’s sake’, Sona’s straightforward technology enhances daily comfort without feeling complex or showy. It’s designed to be intuitive for users, simple for installers and adaptable across projects. Across apartments and high-end homes, Sona is a small integration that genuinely improves how people live.
“Innovation in design isn’t about adding complexity; it’s about removing friction,” concludes Rand.
