The new collection from Greg Natale is designed to bring a touch of theatricality into the home. The capsule collection titled ‘Operetta’ features interior décor items including vases, candles, decorative dishes and more.

Italian for ‘small opera’, Operetta reframes the rhythm and visual impact of the theatre for contemporary interior spaces. Natale used a palette of rich materials full of gravitas, from green and burgundy-coloured marbles and mouth-blown fluted glass to polished chrome and brass.

“Drawing from the optimism and experimentation of mid-century design, the collection brings a sense of theatricality to contemporary spaces, where everyday objects become moments of visual expression,” says Natale.

The collection invites contemplation, composed as a series of decorative pieces that transform living spaces into a stage or gallery. Balancing functionality with artistic expression, each object elevates everyday moments, from dropping your keys on a marble tray after an evening out to hiding your box of tissues inside a luxurious vegan leather-bound box.

Glazed ceramic pieces add another dimension to the curated collection, mirroring the form of the vases and continuing the colour palette of the different marble varieties. Designed to either be appreciated as a visual object or used to serve a swoon-worthy salad, the pieces effortlessly walk the line between form and function.

Just as there are rituals at the opera, Natale’s new range of candles encourage an intermission in the home. Three fragrances – russet, linen and cameo – ignite the senses and welcome a slower pace of life. Candles bring the mentality of stopping to smell the roses into the home in a somewhat literal sense, but no less luxurious in intent.

“Operetta is about creating drama through the interplay of form, material and colour,” says Natale. “I wanted each piece to feel like a character within an interior – expressive, sculptural and full of personality.”
