Pathways honours designer Joanne Odisho’s parents’ journey from Iraq to Australia as refugees. Hand-moulded tiles map their uncertain path, while oleander flowers symbolise beauty, danger and resilience. A keepsake box inside the cabinet holds fragments of their past. Crafted from biodegradable materials, Pathways reflects impermanence, memory and new beginnings.
Bringing Australia’s architecture and design community into focus since 2009.
