Are you an emerging interior designer, architect or product designer hoping to join Australian Design Review’s prestigious 30UNDER30 program? Now is your chance to enter the 2025/2026 stream.
Australian Design Review’s (ADR’s) 30UNDER30 is now open to entries from interior designers, architects, product designers or innovators of the built world seeking life-changing career development opportunities.
You read that right. ADR’s 30UNDER30 program is doing things a little differently coming into our fourth stream. Since the program began in 2022, we have alternated annually between a cohort of 30 interior and product designers, and a cohort of 30 architects and innovators of the built world. This year, we have decided to bring these disciplines together every year going forward, after consultations with Australia’s architecture and design community.
Refining our focus on interior design and architecture, ADR’s 30UNDER30 program will offer the majority of places to Australia-based practitioners aged 30 and under, who are working in these fields. ADR’s 30UNDER30 also recognises the important contribution product designers have made to this program since 2022 – as well as the fruitful cross-disciplinary collaborations that have sprung from their attendance. Accordingly, we are keeping two spots open each year to product designers.
While this year’s cohort may look a little different, the 30UNDER30 program continues to offer the same transformative career development opportunities as in previous years.
Successful entrants will be invited to an immersive three-day retreat in Bali, joining fellow 30UNDER30 peers and a line-up of inspiring mentors from across Australia’s architecture and design industry. Past mentors have included leading voices like Kirsten Stanisich, Jeremy McLeod, Ninotschka Titchkosky, Sophia Leopardi, Mim Fanning and Eva Sue, with this year’s mentors to be announced soon.
The program extends over 12 months, featuring ongoing mentorship, panel events and opportunities to build their personal brand while engaging in industry conversations about the issues that matter to them. With free entry, the only question is: why wouldn’t you enter?
Entrants must be aged 30 or under at the time of entry. Your submissions will be judged on folio quality, in addition to the vision, motivation and creative perspective expressed in written responses. Learn more about the entry criteria here.
Shortlisted candidates will be announced in December and will be required to submit a short two- to three-minute video, which the judging panel will use to select the final 30UNDER30 cohort.
Entries are open now until 12 October 2025.
