Design Journeys is a short film by Australian Design Review capturing a pivotal chapter in the careers of two rising stars in Australian design – product designer Maryam Moghadam and interior designer/architect Katherine Luu – as they embark on Australian Design Review’s 30UNDER30 program.

Filmed primarily during 30UNDER30’s high-performance leadership and creativity retreat in Bali (May 2025), Design Journeys offers an intimate look at the ambitions, challenges and creative visions that make these designers unique. With honesty and vulnerability, Moghadam and Luu reflect on the personal values that drive their work, the impact they hope to make and the self-doubt they continue to navigate.
