Now in its 11th year, the awards celebrate the contemporary and innovative use of clay bricks, concrete masonry and roof tiles in Australian architecture. This year's Think Brick Award categories include commercial, residential, masonry, landscape and terracotta roof.
Edric Choo and a team from Malaysian architectural practice O2DA have been chosen as the winner in an international design competition to masterplan and design a new eco-village for orphaned and abandoned children in Kenya.
With previous winning designs by John Wardle Architects and M@ STUDIO Architects, the competition calls on architects to submit proposals for the activation of the Grollo Equiset Garden, through the intervention of a participatory, evocative and thought-provoking work of temporary architecture.
This year, the program takes on the theme of ‘Bold, Forward, Tilted’, while once again recognising outstanding uses of colour across commercial and residential spaces.
Bringing Australia’s architecture and design community into focus since 2009.
