The recently launched Foundation for Australian Architecture seeks to promote innovation and technical excellence in the architecture industry. However, its success looks uncertain considering the Australian government has left the funding of this body to the generosity of patrons, trusts and grants.
The organisation has launched a new philanthropic foundation that aims to highlight the importance of architecture and design through a series of initiatives including exhibitions, scholarships and education programs.
Nominations are also open for the annual Marion Mahony Griffin Prize, the David Lindner Prize, the Emerging Architect Prize and the Adrian Ashton Prize for Architecture in the Media.
