In August, the prestigious wine label Chandon launched a competition, with the top prize being a visit to its glamorous location in regional Victoria.
Following a flurry of competition entries, the brand has now announced the lucky winner of a fabulous off-site visit opportunity at the newly reimagined Chandon Homestead in the Yarra Valley. Comprising a fully hosted, all-inclusive day stay at the stunning estate for the winner and their team or chosen clients, the main prize is valued at $4980.
To break it down, this means that up to 12 guests will be invited to enjoy the very best of Australian design and natural beauty. Chandon’s beautiful venue has been recently reconceived by Melanie Beynon Architecture and Design, with the project launched in January this year. The result is a design that reimagines the space, which began as a modest 1889s farmhouse and has been transformed into an exclusive space informed by considerations of luxury, heritage and unbounded creativity.
Marking a new chapter in the brand’s thoughtful approach to hospitality, Beynon’s design also encompasses an expression of terroir and storytelling. Plus there is the input of over 20 local creatives – makers, artists and designers – who contributed to the lighting design, ceramics, sculptural vessels and textiles.
Chandon’s long-established credentials as producer of premium sparkling wines are reflected in the little touches – the rose tinted mirrors that subtly recall the brand’s famous rosé, lighting choices that reflects champagne bubbles and more.
The competition’s main prize-winner will have access to all of this, along with stunning sweeping views and original local artworks, but they will also be able to fully avail themselves of such facilities as the boardroom – meaning the day could present an ideal opportunity to conduct planning sessions or collaborations in beautiful surroundings. Barista-made coffees and seasonal teas will be served, followed by a three-course lunch in the restaurant. And will Chandon’s iconic sparkling wine be on the menu? Of course!
As will an afternoon sampling the brand’s signature Garden Spritz on the patio or a guided tasting of the other flagship sparklings. Luxury travel from a Melbourne metro location to the venue and back again means that every aspect of the day will be taken care of in style.
Now the for big revelation…
Drum roll, please…
And the winner is Lauren Jeffrey of Deloitte.
