Interpretations II

November 10, 2009

An exhibition exploring the adaptability and currency of industrial design, with a focus on sheet metal.

Interpretations II is an inspiring symposium of designs utilising one of the most under-rated and basic of industrial materials: sheet metal.

The exhibition showcases the work of five prominent Sydney designers: Andrew Simpson, Bernabeifreeman, Oliver Smith, Trent Jansen and Phillippa Carnemolla.

Andrew Simpson from Vert Design is organising the event. “Sheet metal is an incredibly versatile material, and this year’s designers have etched, formed, oxidised, rivetted, welded and laser cut the material to create diverse projects ranging from larger scale furniture projects through to minute mathematical polyhedra,” he said.
