Belle Arti – Chapman and Bailey Art Award and Exhibition

An exhibition of over 240 entries to the inaugural award, with all artworks finished on 36x36cm stretched linen.

This month sees the launch of the inaugural Belle Arti – Chapman and Bailey Art Award, an exciting venture between these two fine art companies. The Italian company P.E.R Belle Arti is a preparer of some of the world’s finest linens and cottons and Chapman and Bailey distribute these products throughout Australia.

Over 240 artists have completed artworks on stretched linen measuring 36cm x 36cm. The prize is not limited to painters – any medium can be used on the linen. The prize is $5000 and the judges for the award are Angela Brennan, artist; Alexie Glass, Director, Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces; and Jason Smith, Director, Heide Museum of Modern Art.
