Glenn Murcutt & David Malouf in conversation with Julianne Schultz

September 15, 2009

An exploration of how the world we have built around us shapes our lives, for better or worse.

As the first of two headline events of this year’s Sydney Architecture Festival, celebrated novelist David Malouf and architect Glenn Murcutt – in conversation with Julianne Schultz – will explore how the world we have literally built around us shapes our lives, for better or worse.

Covering their views on the built environment and the importance of good architecture to humanity, this wide-ranging conversation will look at Murcutt’s life and work. A past Pritzker Prize winner and probably Australia’s most influential living architect, Glenn Murcutt’s eco-sensitive designs presaged current trends, informed by his simple motto, “touch the earth lightly”.
