Green Building and Design Conference 2009 – Green Materials

August 24, 2009

Participate in this important conference, addressing green building materials, in person or online.

The topic for this year’s Green Building and Design Conference, hosted by RMIT, is Green Materials.

Building materials have an impact on the environment, human health and construction costs. Buildings must comply with regulatory requirements and meet with consumer demand, and professionals must choose products and materials that are beneficial for the built environment.

Designers, manufacturers and regulators have been called upon to explore various options for green materials: be it those produced from renewable or recycled materials or innovative high-tech products — evaluating the alternatives can be a real challenge for all concerned. This conference will provide practical guidance on how to assess building materials and will showcase the latest developments, research, innovations and projects related to building materials.

Organisers have set up a virtual participation mode so that professionals who cannot attend the conference in person can participate online.

*Where* Melbourne Convention Centre
*When* 9-10 September 2009
