June 18, 2009

Melbourne’s most sought after buildings open their doors.

Coinciding with the State of Design Festival in Victoria, Melbourne Open House (MOH) will provide free of charge access to some of Melbourne’s most significant and curious buildings, both public and private, on Sunday 19 July.

Spaces made open house include 101 Collins St, Capitol Theatre, Denmark House, Council House 2, Fire Services Museum of Victoria, Manchester Unity Building, Donkey Wheel House, Radiation Therapy Bunkers – Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Shrine of Remembrance.

Photographs of the buildings taken on the day should be submitted to the MOH photography competition, and will be judged by renowned architectural photographers Dianne Snape and John Gollings. There are prizes to be won and the opportunity to be published.
