RMIT University’s Post Graduate Animation and Interactive Media class present Ephemera: a collaborative exhibition offering “an interactive journey through the mind”.

Using the latest development tools for web-based, real time 3D interactive artwork, Ephemera brings together ideas of neurology and technology by re-imagining the landscape of the human brain.

Facilitated by first person fly-through mode, the project encourages participants to fluidly explore this landscape through a series of neuro-passages and curio-chambers that aim to evoke rather than illustrate. Ephemera examines notions of perception and the interplay between self and world reminiscent of Alice’s fall down the rabbit hole. Culminating notions of neurology and technology, Ephemera celebrates imagination and exploration within the cartesian space of the digital sphere.

*Opening night* Monday 16 May 6-8pm
*Exhibition dates* 16-27 May 2011
*Where* Field 36 Gallery, Level 3, 393 Swanston St, Melbourne
