Light, music and ideas come together for Vivid Sydney, at venues across the city from 27 May until 13 June.

Vivid Sydney will transform the city into a festival of light, music and ideas from 27 May until 13 June 2011.

Sydney will be lit up with creative and immersive light projections on the iconic Sydney Opera House sails, performances from local and international musicians as part of Vivid LIVE and a free outdoor exhibition of interactive light sculptures.

At ["Customs House":http://vividsydney.com/events/lights-on/customs-house], large-scale projection experts The Electric Canvas will project 3D-mapped animation sequences onto the facade of the sandstone building, while more than 40 ["light sculptures":http://vividsydney.com/events/lights-on/light-sculptures] will be installed as a free public exhibition at Circular Quay.

["Sydney Opera House":http://vividsydney.com/events/lights-on/lighting-the-sails] will be lit up by French design group SUPERBIEN. Animation, photography, light, space and graphic design come together to light up the sails of the Opera House from 6pm each evening.

Other events include talks and showcases at the ["MCA":http://vividsydney.com/events/ideas/mca], discussions at the ["Opera House":http://vividsydney.com/events/ideas/in-conversation], and industry events including ["SPARC international lighting event":http://vividsydney.com/events/ideas/sparc-international-lighting-event] at Doltone House (6-8 June).
