Award-winning American architect Nader Tehrani, founder of NADAAA, gives a public lecture and discusses his Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning project with John Wardle.

Award-winning American architect Nader Tehrani, founder of Boston firm NADAAA, will give a public lecture at the University of Melbourne on Tuesday 22 March.

The evening will begin with an introductory conversation between Australian architect John Wardle and Nader Tehrani. The pair have been working together on a new landmark building for the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning. In the conversation, Wardle and Tehrani will discuss the theoretical framework that will inform their innovative design.

Tehrani is the principal and founder of NADAAA, a practice dedicated to the advancement of design innovation, inter-disciplinary collaboration and an intense dialogue with the construction industry. He is also Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning.

Tehrani’s lecture will launch the 2011 Dean’s Lecture Series, presented by the Melbourne School of Design, the Graduate School within the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning.
