Space+Edra Design Residency insights

February 22, 2011

Trent Jansen shares his insights from a two-month residency at the Edra headquarters in Perignano and Milan, under the guidance of Massimo Morozzi.

Australian designer Trent Jansen, winner of the inaugural Space+Edra Design Residency, spent two months under the guidance of Massimo Morozzi at the Edra headquarters in Perignano, near Piza, and the Milan showroom in late 2010. Jansen experienced first hand all aspects of Edra’s design development process, from concept and design through to manufacturing and marketing, and connected with Edra’s Italian design community network.

Trent Jansen will give a series of talks in March 2011, sharing his insights of the time he spent in Italy. Talks will be held at the Space Furniture showrooms in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Spaces at the events are limited, RSVPs essential.

The Space+Edra Design Residency Talks will coincide with a celebration of the Edra Flowers collection’s twentieth birthday and the Edra Flap sofa’s tenth birthday. These pieces will be brought in from Edra specifically to be on display at the event.
