Headspace 2 invited architecture students at the University of Melbourne to take ideas from within their heads and place them, literally, on the outside. After three months of sketching with pencils, sculpting in clay, modelling in software, cutting from paper, unfolding and fabricating, more than 100 complex and extravagant structures have been completed.

During the parade, the makers will wear their unorthodox art in public and the exhibition will demonstrate the craft and technology behind the designs.
The Headspace projects reside at the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, University of Melbourne, Australia.

Headspace 1, the movie about the project at the centre of the Virtual Environment course last semester, was recently included in the official program of the Architecture and Design Film Festival in New York.
