October 20, 2010

A symposium designed to discuss issues associated with the design of learning spaces, held by the University of Melbourne.

This symposium at the University of Melbourne presents an opportunity to hear experts discuss the challenges and solutions around the provision and occupation of new learning spaces.

The symposium is aimed at educators, designers, project managers, engineers and anyone interested in the intersection of physical space, learning and young peoplesÂ’ development.

Workshops will raise issues currently being faced around the design and occupation phases of these new learning spaces. The program has been designed to encourage interdisciplinary conversations on learning spaces between teachers, designers and researchers. Educators will further their understanding of physical learning spaces in relation to pedagogies and architects/designers will further their understanding of the spatial needs of educators.
