Melbourne: The Emergence and Evolution of Digital Media

A discussion of how digital media as an art form is transforming our cities and built environment.

Bruce Ramus presents a talk as part of The Light in Winter at Federation Square: *The Emergence and Evolution of Digital Media; a Theatrical Transformation of the Built Environment*.

Bruce Ramus charts the emergence of digital media as an art form over the past 20 years, and shows how these ever-expanding media are now beginning to shape our cities and communities as they transform public and private space with light and moving images.

Ramus has extensive experience in creating and producing advanced media experiences for theatrical and architectural environments. He has designed and directed international live shows and events for 30 years, including concerts for rock bands U2, R.E.M, David Bowie, Bryan Adams, David Byrne, Savage Garden, James Brown and television shows including the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, MTV Awards and Super Bowl Halftime Shows.
