A series of free public events at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.

Creative Sydney is a series of free public events taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Circular Quay.

Key elements of the event include:
• *Creative Futures, Saturday June 5*: involves 15 presentations in five different sessions, on the future of the creative industries. A major highlight will be the ‘Network and Clusters’ presentation that will reveal where creative communities work and live in Sydney using bespoke GPS-based research.

• *10×10, Friday June 4*: Ten industry icons recommend ten emerging creatives, introducing Sydney’s next generation of talent and presenting work from the city’s best in film, fashion, music, performance, media, events, architecture, design, advertising and technology. The list of 100 shortlisted nominees will be revealed on 4 June.

• *Sydney Sessions, Monday June 7 – Saturday June 12*: six one-off nighttime performances produced by remarkable mixes of creative disciplines. Participants include, Even Books, Parades, Cameras, Dorkbot, Imperial Panda and lots more.

• *Creative Connections, Saturday June 12*: a day for focused networking and an opportunity to connect with the organisations and support structures that help creative people and businesses reach their full potential. A key highlight on this day is The Big Debate: “Is Sydney falling behind or leading the way?”

• *Panel discussions*: five thought-provoking evening sessions covering Creative For a Cause; Local Talent/Global Market; Creative/Commercial; The New Niche and Making it Happen.

• *Block Party, Sunday June 13*: Sydney’s best performers will host a huge, free street party and what is planned to be the world’s biggest “distributed disco” turning the Circular Quay into a dance floor.
