Sydney: Design Now! 2010

Object Gallery’s annual graduate design show, showcasing the diversity of contemporary design.

Since 2001, Object Gallery has organised and presented an annual national graduate exhibition showcasing the work and nurturing the careers of over 100 graduates from 14 universities.

In 2010, the Design Now! exhibition of 18 finalists will showcase 3 outstanding graduates from each of the following categories: Design for the built environment; Design for the body; Design for communication; Design for studio production; Design for the home; Design for industry.

In partnership with Living Edge, the gallery is also offering the *Living Edge Travelling Scholarship*. The winner will be announced at the opening on Friday 9 April, with the lucky designer winning a trip to Los Angeles for five nights.

Finalists are also in the running to receive the Object Award for Creative Innovation, a $2,500 cash prize to kick-start a design career.

This year’s judging panel includes Frank DiGiorgio (Director – National Projects, Living Edge); David Clark (Editor, _Vogue Living_); Alice Blackwood (Editor, _Design Quarterly_ magazine); and Steven Pozel (Director, Object: Australian Centre for Craft and Design).
