A free event at Sydney’s CarriageWorks celebrating contemporary art from the city fringe.

carriageARTworks is a free annual event, celebrating artwork and art culture from Sydney’s city fringe. Galleries and Artist Run Initiatives are invited to contribute to an expansive and invigorating exhibition compiling the area’s best, most original and most evocative works of art.

The exhibition will feature works on canvas, sculpture, photography, mixed media, video, performance art and textiles.

The program of artists talks, tours and themed forums will spark conversation around making art, making a living from art, and art from the consumers’ point of view.

*Panel discussion: contemporary art – ingenious or irrelevant?*
