Rituals XL at Space Furniture

March 2, 2015

Rituals lamps’ delicately rounded shape and refined glass grinding recalls an ancient craftworking skill.

The Foscarini Rituals family, with its different and complementary forms and sizes, now has an extra large version.

The poetry and lightness of the various Rituals versions, draw their inspiration from traditional Japanese lanterns and, in particular, from the 1950s creations by Isamu Noguchi.

Space March FS 1

Rituals lamps’ delicately rounded shape and refined glass grinding recalls an ancient craftworking skill, achieved in this contemporary iteration through a special industrial process. Translucent rice paper and mulberry tree bark, the raw materials of the traditional lanterns, are reinterpreted by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba, visible in the full body of blown, satin-effect glass. The lamp retains its decorative value even when it’s switched off.

On its own or with the other lamps in the family, the assertive personality of Rituals XL can be used to fill large spaces or to define various living areas both in the home environment and in contract spaces.

The Rituals collection by Foscarini is available in Australia through Space Furniture.
