Elevate Aluminium Systems at Yackandandah Primary School

August 16, 2012

Elevate Aluminium Systems deliver high-performance, energy efficient and aesthetic glazing solutions for the renovation and rebuild of the Yackandandah Primary School.

NOWarchitecture recently completed the renovation and rebuild of Yackandandah Primary School, in the town of Yackandandah in north east Victoria. Consideration of the building’s environmental impact proved key to this renovation and extension project, with the new school building serving as a tool for environmental awareness within the small Yackandandah community.

Elevate Aluminium Systems Series 466 Awning Windows have been used throughout the project, offering strength and durability in high traffic locations within the school. The awning windows can be open throughout all weather conditions, providing natural ventilation year-round. The windows can also be locked in an open position – providing important safety for students.

Elevate Aluminium Systems’ high-performance, energy efficient and aesthetic glazing solutions have contributed to the success of the project, which has exceeded the expectations of students, staff, parents and the community alike. The innovative approach to heritage combined with the integration of environmental initiatives has contributed to community changes in attitude and approach.
