Trinity Bowls

RMIT Furniture Design graduate Adam Cornish explores ideas of movement and form in the series of Trinity Bowls.

The designs explore how intricate shapes can be created using simple geometric patterns. The flat-cut pattern is layered together and fused, to produce a series of spiralling bowls: an ellipse bowl made from two spirals, a triangle bowl crafted from three spirals and a square bowl featuring four spirals.

Made from laser cut mild steel, the twisting form of the bowls casts a delicate, woven-like shadow. An elegant piece that belies the simplicity of materials used in the design.
