Produced by Melbourne-based furniture designer and manufacturer Yellow Diva, the Splint collection is a customisable series of timber stools, benches and tables designed by David Walley.

The name of the product is taken from the leg splints designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1943 for the US Navy, and Walley’s range features the same utility as the Eames’ design: lightweight, functional and inexpensive.

Designed with flexibility in mind, Splint features a steel bracket that connects the legs and seat or table top. The range offers ultimate flexibility, allowing the buyer to specify heights, sizes and shapes for the tables, benches and stools. The steel can be powder-coated in bespoke colours, adding another element of flexibility while also celebrating the utility of the design and adding a burst of colour to the range.

Available through Yellow Diva.
