Filament Table

Filament table is a versatile low table unit, comprised of three identical sheet metal elements. The geometry of the design creates a strong object with relatively low visual mass.

The table is inspired by the popular 1980s toy, the Spirograph: a single and simple form is repeated to create a geometric object that is aesthetically striking. A shelf beneath the table top provides additional storage space.

Developed in close consultation with manufacturers to optimise the design for the material and production process, the individual metal sheets are laser-cut and folded into shape. Units are then hand assembled, with stainless steel fasteners located on the underside of the table.
