Butter Stool

September 14, 2009

A clever stool made from recycled milk containers by Australian designers, DesignByThem.

Butter Stool, designed by Sarah Gibson and Nicholas Karlovasitis, is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic – derived almost entirely from recycled milk containers.

The designers have not compromised on function for the sake of sustainability, creating a product that is robust, UV stable and waterproof. The stool can be hand assembled and is cleverly designed from a single piece of material, which folds together to become rigid. The stools can be stacked, and are available in a variety of colours.
