Ray Chair

April 23, 2009

The original lounge chair designed by Jakob Wagner

Ray was one of the first pieces of furniture to be put into production by HAY. The inspiration come from the sea. Ray has a simple and elegant shape in common with its graceful namesake. Like a sting ray of the sea it is thick in the centre and becomes slimmer near the wing tips. Ray therefore has a padded softness making it more comfortable to sit in. The chair is wide allowing you to have a plate or a magazine by your side.

Available in a solid stainless steel frame or with a swivel base and can be upholstered in fabric or leather.
