Miele Generation 6000

November 7, 2013

October saw the release of Miele’s latest range of premium cooking appliances, which includes ovens, coffee machines, a microwave oven and gourmet warming drawers.

October saw the release of Miele’s latest range of premium cooking appliances, labelled the Generation 6000. Products in this new line include ovens, speed ovens, steam ovens, steam combi ovens, coffee machines, a microwave oven and gourmet warming drawers.

Miele has succeeded in melding their signature modern elegance with simplistic functionality, using Generstion 6000 to exemplify their ‘PureLine’ design aesthetic. ‘Brilliant White’ and ‘Obsidian Black’ offer a traditionally monochrome colour palette, while the velvet brown tone of ‘Mink’ offers a warmer option. These are typically offset by Miele’s signature CleanSteel finish, a brushed steel look which provides an industrial appeal.

Renowned for remaining at the forefront of technological innovations, Miele have developed ‘M Touch’, a high-resolution touch screen which brings a smartphone touch action to the user interface. This makes for a more tactile kitchen experience, as users are able to use fingertips to swipe and scroll through options. Though this feature is available on their high-end appliances, touch controls and rotary dials exist as an option for entry-level appliances.

Improved technology makes it possible to introduce timed steam pulses to their regular oven range with the Moisture Plus function, while their range of purpose-designed steam ovens create even heat distribution to ensure stable temperatures during the cooking process. Miele’s PyroFit technology allows oven side racks and runners to remain inside the oven while cleaning, allowing convenient maintenance of Generation 6000 oven products.

The Miele Generation 6000 warming drawers are an exciting prospect for true food aficionados. Apart from safely pre-heating crockery to serve warm dishes, the versatility of the constant low heat settings enable home chefs to melt chocolate, gently defrost and prove yeast dough.

Coffee machines in this range are designed to be able to make two different coffees at once, and include Miele’s ‘CupSensor’ which automatically repositions the spout to suit various cup sizes. As with the convenience of pyrolytic cleaning technology in their ovens, Miele’s coffee machines also feature automated milk pipe rinsing.

Miele’s sleek Generation 6000 range is engineered and tested in Germany to withstand 20 years of usage, and is currently available through Australian stockists.
