Coromandel collection

October 23, 2012

Designer Rugs has partnered for a second time with local fashion label Easton Pearson for its new, exuberantly coloured rug collection, Coromandel.

Continuing its tradition of collaborating with local designers, Designer Rugs has partnered for a second time with Australian design partners Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson, of fashion label Easton Pearson, for their new rug collection, Coromandel – launched last week in Sydney.

Drawing on their travels and referencing the exotic hybrid style of Indo-European chintz design, the designers say of the Coromandel collection: “Our designs take chintz back to its original purpose as sophisticated floor coverings, but the macro focus on tiny fragments gives traditional design a new modern viewpoint”.

With an exuberant and unafraid colour palette, the Coromandel collection is hand-made from 100% New Zealand wool, with some designs additionally utilising silk. The rugs can be custom coloured and sized to suit any space, and are available exclusively from Designer Rugs.
