Understated and relaxed, Volley is a new outdoor seating range from Adam Goodrum and Tait designed for lazy days in the summer sun.

Volley is a new collection of fun and vibrant outdoor seating from Sydney-based industrial designer, Adam Goodrum, and Australian furniture manufacturer, Tait.

The collection is inspired by photos of tennis from the 1950s: understated and relaxed, yet with an underlying sense of dash and vigour, explains Goodrum. The collection is visually light and pared back, designed for casual days lazing in the summer sun.

The collection has been produced in collaboration, giving Goodrum hands-on experience with Tait’s local manufacturing. It is the second collaboration between Tait and Goodrum, who have previously worked together on Airliner – a sleek, outdoor seating range released in 2010.

Volley is a group of different seating options, encompassing dining chairs, loungers, rockers and bar stools. Steel frame, powder coated in a range of UV stable colours. The new collection was awarded Best Australian Product at Saturday in Design in Melbourne in August.

Available through Tait.
