Vapeur Light

November 24, 2010

A lightweight yet tough lighting design created by Inga Sempé for Moustache Paris.

Designed by Inga Sempé for French brand Moustache Paris, the Vapeur Light appears weightless and voluminous all at once.

Exploring the mechanical and structuring qualities of the pleat, the design resembles a drifting balloon. Although the design appears fragile and lightweight, it is fabricated from lacquered metal and Tyvek – making it tough.

Moustache Paris was launched in 2009 by Stéphane Arriubergé and Massimiliano Iorio. The collection features pieces designed by Inga Sempé, François Azambourg, Big Game, Matali Crasset, and Ana Mir & Emili Padros. The collection is available in Australia through Dawson Interiors.
