Petite Gigue tripod chair

November 19, 2010

A three-legged chair designed by Francois Azambourg for French furniture brand Moustache Paris.

The Petite Gigue tripod chair is a playful yet stable chair, designed by Francois Azambourg for French furniture brand Moustache Paris.

Made using a technique similar to that used to craft light centreboard boats, the manufacture of this object requires competences that belong to joinery and the shipbuilding yard. The stability of the chair is strengthened by the user, whose two legs provide additional support.

The Petite Gigue chair is available in natural oak, or black or red lacquered oak.

Moustache Paris was launched in 2009 by Stéphane Arriubergé and Massimiliano Iorio. The collection features pieces designed by Inga Sempé, François Azambourg, Big Game, Matali Crasset, and Ana Mir & Emili Padros. The collection is available in Australia through Dawson Interiors.
