NGV Kids Corner

August 12, 2010

Custom made upholstery from The Seatery creates a safe, strong and engaging installation at the NGV Kids Corner in Melbourne.

The NGV Kids Corner, at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia in Melbourne’s Federation Square, commissioned The Seatery to build a solid, attractive upholstered tunnel for children’s play that was safe, strong and aesthetically pleasing. The Seatery chose a strong, hard wearing fabric and focused on strength to withstand the wear and tear of up to 1,000 children every day.

The NGV Kids Corner is a space created for children and their families to have fun, learning and sharing new experiences in the visual arts. The Seatery built a tunnel and cone as part of the “Going Places, Sitting Down” and “Light Play” installations designed by Exhibition Designer Zera Haisma, in consultation with NGV Education.

The Seatery specialises in commercial, custom made upholstery.
