2-3 chair

October 18, 2011

Yellow Diva and C. K. Goff collaborate to produce a range of playful and functional flat-pack chairs made from sustainable birch plywood.

Melbourne-based furniture design studio Yellow Diva has collaborated with designer C. K. Goff to produce a range of flat pack chair designs made from sustainable birch plywood.

The 2-3 chair is CNC cut from a single sheet of 16mm plywood, with a design that uses materials efficiently and minimises wastage from offcuts. Each chair is delivered flat packed in a cardboard carry box, and can be easily assembled without tools or glue. The chair’s components simply slot together like a jigsaw puzzle, producing a lightweight yet sturdy chair that celebrates the simplicity of its construction. Cable ties on the backrest add a playful touch of colour to the design.

The collection is designed to bridge the divide between furniture and product, and is the latest addition to Yellow Diva’s product collection – which also includes the FanDeck plywood lamp shade, SpiraLite tealight holder and KeepCool wine bottle cover.

The 2-3 chair comes in Adult and Junior sizes. A Junior table is also available.
Available through Yellow Diva.
