As part of History SA’s About Time festival, celebrating South Australia’s history, Open House Adelaide will take place for the second year running over the first weekend in May.
History SA invites managers and owners of significant heritage or contemporary buildings to register them as part of Open House Adelaide, with registrations closing on February 1st. Buildings in the Adelaide City Council local government area, or immediately surrounding areas, that can be opened to the public, are eligible and encouraged to register. History SA encourages participation from buildings with particularly interesting or unique architecture and design features or with interesting backstories.
Last year over 5,000 people participated in Open House Adelaide, experiencing the city’s buildings, sustainable designs and engineering free of charge.
All registrations will be listed on the Open House Adelaide website and in a free printed program to be distributed statewide.
